Recovery means taking a new path, learning a new way of living, having new thoughts, new actions. It means leaving the past firmly in the past; something that shaped us but doesn’t define us. It means taking control of your emotions, and responsibility for your actions. It means accepting help, and being humble.
Recovery is life, choosing life for yourself.
Recovery is forgiveness, of others and yourself.
Recovery is a difficult journey, but the rewards are great.
Recovery is having hope for a better day, and making the choice to put one foot in front of the other; and refusing to give up.
Recovery IS possible!
